The information you enter will be held on your computer until you close your web browser, or select to clear the information when you have placed your order.
Your personal e-mail address and other contact details will not be passed on to any third party. If you have registered a pet you have found, customers believing it is their missing pet will only be able to contact you via this website.
If you have registered as an organisation (i.e. a vet or animal welfare centre) we may, in appropriate circumstances, direct members of the public to your general, publicly available, contact details.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:
We do not send out marketing emails. We may send you e-mails to ask for your help to assist PetsLocated.com Ltd to improve its service to yourself and others.

Losers / Pet Owners – Data retention and storage
We retain and store your personal data for a period of 24 months from the last activity on your account, or from the end of your subscription period, whichever is the later. Any personal information given will not be shared with any 3rd party organisations excepting a formal Data Protection Request from the Police or law enforcement agencies in conjunction with a criminal investigation.
At the end of the 24 month period all personal details will be de-personalised and all personal information deleted. Pet details will be de-activated at the end of the paid subscription period but may be retained for statistical and reporting purposes.
Account Deletion for Losers / Pet Owners
Should you wish to completely delete your account during your paid subscription period you will lose the remainder of the subscription for the period you have paid for and no refunds will be offered (Please see our Terms and Conditions). Your account will be de-activated and personal details removed. No re-activation, renewal or editing of your details will be possible. Should you wish to re-list your pet then you will need to create a new account, add your pet details and pay for your preferred subscription period again.
If you have a period of subscription remaining we suggest that instead of deleting your account you deactivate your pet listing but retain your account until the end of your paid subscription period (please see the FAQs page for help). This will enable you to either re-activate the original listing should you need to, or use the listing for a different pet within the remaining paid subscription period.
Finders – Data retention and storage
We retain and store your personal data for a period of 24 months from the last activity on your account. Any personal information given will not be shared with any 3rd party organisations excepting a formal Data Protection Request from the Police or law enforcement agencies in conjunction with a criminal investigation.
At the end of the 24 month period all personal details will be de-personalised and all personal information deleted. Pet details may be retained for statistical and reporting purposes.
Account Deletion for Finders
If you would like us to remove your account at any time, please deactivate any Found Pet listings you may have on the site (please see the FAQs page for help) and then contact us and we will do this for you in a timely manner.

We store your account password in a one-way, highly encrypted format. We do not have access to your password. We do not recommend saving passwords to your desktop or mobile devices.
Payment Card details
Payments for lost pet subscriptions are taken using WorldPay's highly secure payment gateway. We have no access to your payment card details at any time.
Subscriptions will not be renewed automatically by us. You will be sent an email to the registered email address offering you the chance to renew your subscription should you wish to.
Unique Messaging Name
Your Messaging Name will be visible to any party with whom you may communicate through our Secure Messaging Service. This identifier will enable you, the user, to remain anonymous and will ensure that no personal details are shared with any other party unless you expressly choose to include your personal details in any messages with another party.
Consider that this identifier, if also used elsewhere, could potentially be 'googled' and, if linked elsewhere on the internet to available information, may be able to be used to identify you. For this reason, we recommend using a Messaging Name that is not in use elsewhere on any internet, social media or other platforms, be they real or virtual.
